Who hasn’t got a “Little black dress” in her wardrobe? Since I never saw an amigurumi doll with a classic “Litlle black dress” I thought it was time to make one. That’s why I soon thought of Coco Chanel who designed this classic garment.
It wasn’t hard to come up with a name for this doll: “Coco”
Coco is not complete without a pearl necklace. The beads in the example are Swarovski beads. The doll itself was crocheted with Softfun (Scheepjes), a yarn that I discovered a little while ago and that quickly became one of my favorite yarns.
With the fringes on the dress, Coco is ready for a dance night out. She looks immaculate and will definitely steal the show when she dances the Charleston.
The dress also looks great in other colors like the light and dark purple colors used for this example.
The pink necklace is made with fine thread and seed beads. You can find the free pattern to make this necklace here.
Do you also want to make this lovely doll? Then use the code COCOPROMO to get the pattern for 3 EUR (valid untile March 31, only on www.peggysew.com, enter code at checkout) You can find the pattern here.
This post would not be complete without the dolls made by my fabulous testers. They made this pattern with lots of enthusiasm and they sent me these beautiful results:
