Within an hour after making my request for testers, I already had a handful of very enthousiastic people who wanted to try my new elf pattern.
They crocheted very fast and I already received the first results after a few days.
The idea to make an elf was given to me by Sweethart T, one of my American testers. When she finished Santa Claus she asked me if I could make an elf.
To be honest, I didn’t know too many things about Christmas elfs so I had to google them. Wikipedia taught me that elfs are santa’s helpers, that they make toys, take care of the reindeer and do other tasks as well.
I could use an elf to do my household tasks, so I decided to make one. Instead of the traditional green color I used turquoise.
My testers did a great job and they sent me lovely photos of their results.
Wendy M, one of my first testers ever, made this cutie in red en blue.
Debi B and Debbie S made these very nice elfs in green en red
Katja H showed me that an elf can also be adorable in purple :
And last but not least: Sweethart T. She made this great couple. The female is a variation on the pattern she invented herself. Aren’t they cute? I think it’s great to see that people take my patterns a step further.
